Following it's success in Dublin over the past few years, Athletics
Ireland and Grant Thornton are bringing the Grant Thornton Corporate 5k
Team Challenge to Cork.
The event will take place on the evening of Tuesday June 30th. The
precise course has yet to be finalised, but it will start on South
Mall, and take in some of the Marina circuit, Old Blackrock Road and
finish in Copley Street. Cork Athletics will organise the event. The
course will be measured by John Quigley, AIMS/IAAF Grade 'B' Measurer.
Besides the new Cork event, the Grant Thornton Corporate 5k Team
Challenge will be run in another new venue this year;
Fingal, on May 13th, while teh final event will be held in Dublin
Docklands, on September 1st.
There will be separate distinctive technical tops for all finishers,
with the Cork version coming in the "National" Rebel County colours =
