Information
The
Sonia 5K Cobh, in association with Euromedic Ireland, takes place at
6pm, on Saturday September 19th. The event, in her hometown,
marks the 20th Anniversary of Irish athletics icon Sonia O’Sullivan’s
historic victory, in the 5,000 metres, at the IAAF World Championships,
in Gothenburg in 1995.
Join
the former World Champion and Olympic Silver Medallist in this Special
Celebration event on a beautiful, scenic, route in the seaside town of
Cobh. the homeland of Sonia.
All
finishers will receive a Unique Commemorative Medal - an exact replica
of the World Championship Gold Medal won by Sonia, when she became
Ireland’s first-ever female Athletics World Champion.

5k Entry Fee
Entry fee for the 5k is €15.
Kids Mile Run
There will be Kids Mile Run, at 17:30 4pm , so they can join in the fun.
Entry fee is €8.

a) On Friday, at the Commodore Hotel, Cobh, between 7pm and 9pm and
b) On Saturday, at Cobh Community College, between 3pm and 5:30pm
