Cork Athletics County Juvenile B U9 - U14 T&F Championships 2024

Entries Open July 28th

Entry Fee is €2.59 per event, including the E4S administration fee

Athletes participating in the Under 9 - Under 14 'B' Championships are restricted to two (2) events each

1. Entries close on Wednesday 14th August at 8.00 pm

2. The following events have been added to the County B Championships
     a) U12 Shot Put
     b) U13 and U14 Javelin

3. Athletes may chose a max of 2 events for the U9-14 B championships and 3 events for the U15-U19 A championships

4. Athletes who won individual medals at the 2024 County A T&F championships are not permitted to enter the B championships in any event

5. Clubs are asked to recognise that the ethos of B championships is to serve as a development opportunity for athletes. Therefore if an athlete medalled at the A T&F championships, in either Munster or All Irelands, in 2024, we request that they should not be entered in the County B Championships

6. Given the level of entries for both juvenile days, it may be necessary to condense the championships, but organisers will try to facilitate adequate recovery time between events, in so far as is possible

The ethos of the 'B' championships is that it is a developmental competition

 

DRAFT TIMETABLE FOR CORK COUNTY U9 - U14 JUVENILE B T&F CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024

Registration is from 09:00am on the morning of the event

Numbers can be collected from the red brick building at the finish line

Numbers must be collected for each club as a whole. Officials will not be distributing individual numbers to athletes
                                
Morning session will commence at 10:00am; afternoon session will not start before 13:30pm

The timetable is draft, and issubject to change, depending on entries

Where there are 8 athletes, or fewer, entered in a sprint event, there will be a straight final

The results for the middle distance events will be based upon the fastest times across the heats

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
