GENERAL INFORMATION

The St. Finbarr's A.C. Cork City 10k takes place on Sunday the 18th of August at 9:30am, and is kindly sponsored by Doyle Solicitors.
    The event will be staged under an Athletics Ireland permit


    The St. Finbarr's A.C. Cork City 10K replaces the Cork City 10 miler this year due to the ongoing upgrade works being carried out on the Marina by Cork City Council


    The race will start in the vicinity of Fitzgerald's Park and will finish in close proximity to the Kingsley Hotel


    The Kingsley Hotel will be the location of the race HQ


    There will be ample free parking available - details to follow


    The race will be run on the Lee Road / Straight Road circuit, a vastly popular route that was used in the past by UCC


    The course is fast and scenic making it hugely popular amoungst elite athletes, club runners, social and fun runners


    Each participant will receive a uniquely designed t-shirt

    The St. Finbarr's A.C. Cork City 10k is race 8 of the Peugeot Race Series


    We are proud to announce that our charity partner for this year's event is Marymount Hospice

 

    As this year's event is being staged on a new course, the winners of both the mens and womens races will hold the course record and will receive a total prize of €800 each!!!

    The race sells out every year, and we expect that this year's 10k event will be extremely popular, so get your entry in early to avoid disappointment

    Race Entry is €26.63* - and includes a uniquely designed t-shirt, and the Eventmaster booking fee

    *There is a €2 fee for non- members of Athletics Ireland - this fee goes directly to Athletics Ireland

    There is an option to have your race number and t-shirt posted out to you by Eventmaster for a fee of €6.50, or it can be collected in person at no cost - details of which will follow at a later date

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
