Sports Capital Grant Allocations 2020 (announced Feb 11th 2022)
A total of €3,267,717, towards 87 projects, has been provisionally awarded to Athletics projects in Ireland today. Six Cork clubs, along with MTU Athletics Track are included. More grant allocations for athletics are likely to be 'hidden' in the detail, as many grant applications are likely to have come via 'Multi-Sport' applications
Cork is to receive €418,683 (12.81%) of this, with Bandon AC to get €290,000 towards their new track and facilities. West Muskerry AC will receive €50,027 for their 120m 4 lane sprint track
MTU track is set for €42,811 for "Outdoor equipment", and Fanahan McSweeney AC has been allocated €22,380 towards a steel shed and mobile lighting tower
Grange-Fermoy AC have been assigned €5,595 towards "Storage Shed and Long Jump Runway", Carraig na bhFear AC; €5,620 for a 'Grass Mower' and Midleton AC Juvenile Section are to receive €2,250 for Sports Equipment
