The Officers and Officials of Cork Athletics County Board extend their condolences and deepest sympathy to the Cullen family; Carolyn's husband Joe, children Jack and Tom, and her extended family, on the death of our esteemed colleague Carolyn Cullen, Registrar, Bandon AC 

 

Bandon AC Tribute to Carolyn Cullen

As a club, we are saddened and heartbroken by the sudden and untimely passing of our dear friend Carolyn Cullen. Carolyn has been a part of the Bandon AC family for a number of years, currently serving on the executive Committee as our registrar.

We wish to send our deepest sympathies to Carolyn's husband Joe, her two sons Jack & Tom, her brothers and sisters, and all the extended Cullen and Connolly families

Carolyn was always on the other end of the phone for those last minute entries, to Carolyn nothing was a big task, her presence will be dearly missed within the club for her chats, wisdom and friendly smile

Reposing in Bolsters Funeral home Bandon on Sunday evening from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 7pm. Requiem mass on Monday at 1pm, in St Patrick’s church Bandon followed by cremation at 3pm in the Island crematorium, Ringaskiddy

On February 23rd 2023, unexpectedly at her home in the presence of her loving family, Carolyn (nee Connolly) beloved daughter of the late Paddy and Maud, beloved wife of Joe and adored mother of Jack and Tom. Sadly missed by her loving family, brothers Pat, Martin, Danny, John and Niall, sisters Elizabeth, Helen, Margaret, Fiona and Niamh, mother-in-law Mary, aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
