The May Cork City athlete of the month award goes to Una Brice, Leevale AC
The Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month award for May goes to Una Brice (Leevale AC and Mount Mercy College). During May, Una retained her Munster Schools Senior Girls pole vault title, and won the Munster Junior (under 20) club title, along with the Senior Women's pole vault, at the National May Open competition at Templemore
Una is the national Girls Under 18 Irish record holder, the current Irish Schools senior girls champion, the current Irish Junior and Senior women's champion at pole vault. For good measure to cap all of that, Una won the women's pole vault competition at last year's Cork City Sports
