The Dick Copithorne Memorial Run - Belgooly Annual 4 Mile Road Race, takes place in Belgooly village at 12:00 noon, on St Stephen's Day, Monday December 26th 2016.  This event, organised and hosted by Belgooly AC, is one of the most popular events on the Cork road racing calendar, with some 850 to 1,000 participants turning out to burn off the calories from Christmas (over?)indulgence!  

To beat the queues, Belgooly are taking Pre-Registrations tomorrow, Thursday Dec 22nd,

in the Huntsman Bar & Restaurant, Belgooly, between 7 & 8pm.

It's a bit far out yet, with five days to go, but indications are that conditions for this year's are going to be pretty good, with light winds, clear skies and temperature in the low teens ....what more could you ask for!

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
