Juvenile Track and Field Championships - Reminder May 7th

Reminder - Juvenile T&F Events - May 2024

track and field 2022
Closing date for the Under-9 to Under-14 track events, on Entry4Sport, is 8:00 pm on Wednesday 8th May. All entries need to be included by that time

Any club having difficulties should please contact Competition Secretary, Michael Flynn

The schedule/timetable will be displayed once entries have been completed, but for the moment registration will start at 10:00 am, with the sprints commencing at 11:00 am

Entry for the pole vault closes on Thursday 9th May at 8:00 pm. Due to the upgrade of the E4S system, there was a requirement for athletes to put in a PB into any field event for the third day, on 19th May in Castleisland. This requirement has now been removed

Relays
1. An athlete may only take part in 2 relays. This should only impact athletes in Under-17 to Under-19 age groups, as they have 4x100m and 4x400m events

2. Each age group up to Under-17 must have a minimum of two athletes born in the year of the age group actually running  the race. You can have four called up from the year before but only two of them are permitted to race on the day

Example: If an Under-11 team has two Under-11 athletes and four Under-10 athletes the two Under-11 athletes must take part in the race. If one of them is not available, the team must forfeit their place in the event

3. There is also a mixed relay 4x400m event for Under-17 and Under-19's (not Under-18). This is NOT on the schedule of events, but any club that wishes to enter a team should e-mail the Competition Secretary at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the details of their team

The mixed relay is part of the 2 relay restriction for athletes, so anybody entered in the 4x400 and 4x100 events may not also do the mixed relay.

In addition the Under-17 mixed relay event is restricted to athletes in the Under-17 age category only, and Under-16's (born in 2009) are not eligible to take part
