Draft timetable for the County Field Events for Under 9 - under 14 and the Relays on Sunday 19th May in Castleisland

Number collection is from 9:30am. Numbers will need to be collected by one member of each club. This will include numbers for the relay teams

The long jump will start at 10:30am, with the Under 9 boys and girls, in separate pits, and will continue up through the ages to Under 14

The turbo javelin will also start at 10:30am with the Under 12s and will work down through to Under 9

The high jump will start at 10:30am with Under 13s followed by Under 14s and then Under 12s

The relays will start at 11:00am with the 4x400m's followed by 4x100m's for the even age, starting at Under 10. There will be heats and then finals where necessary

Once all entries are in we will be able to confirm if there will be one or multiple 4x400m races

Athletes taking part in field events will be permitted to leave their event to take part in the relay and must then return to their relevant field event afterwards to complete their jumps or throws.

We cannot be any more definite about times at this point. For the meet this past Sunday, over 600 entries were received in the last 48 hours before the closing time, so trying to predict how many will enter (and how many will turn up) is not possible today

If anybody is available to help with stewarding at an event, or part of an event, for the day, all help is welcome. Please contact the Competition Secretary, Michael Flynn, on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Relays

Reminder that if a club wishes to enter a mixed relay team in the Under 17 or Under 19 4x400m race please contact the Competition Secretary

Athletes may only enter two relays, which includes the mixed relay

For the Under 17 4*400m race (male, female and mixed) all athletes have to be in the Under 17 age category (i.e. born in 2008)

When collecting your numbers there will be a relay sign-in sheet included listing the relay teams that you have entered.
All clubs must submit their list of runners, and substitutes, to registration by 10:30am, so that they can be matched against entries.
As the Under 9 - Under 17 4x100m relay teams must have a minimum of two athletes of the age that run the race, it is important that you complete the declaration correctly

If you do not have two athletes of the appropriate age running the race, the team is not permitted to take part.
In the event that it is determined the team had three or four athletes out of age running the race the team will be disqualified and will not be permitted to take part in the national relay finals where relevant

The two athlete restriction does not apply to Under 18 and Under 19 relays. However declaration forms are still required.
If you have only entered 4 or 5 athletes through the registration system you will not be permitted to add an extra athlete on the day

You will not be permitted to add extra relay teams on the day

Where necessary relays will be broken into heats and finals. If there are 8 or fewer teams declared it will be a straight final.
The top three teams in each race from Under 12 to Under 19 will qualify for the national relay finals

Under 9 to Under 11 relay qualification is through the regional (Munster) championships
