County Track and Field Championships Summer 2024

Schedules for County Juvenile 'B', Under 15-19, Junior, Senior & Masters Track and Field Championships 2024

With MTU Track due to re-open on Wednesday next, July 10th, Cork County Board has set dates for it's County Juvenile 'B', Under 15-19, and Junior, Senior & Masters Track and Field Championships

Essentially, these Junior, Senior & Masters T&F Championships will be the first such Championships held in Cork in five years, as the 2020, 2021 & 2022 Championships were not held due to Covid, and the gradual emergence from the pandemic, while it was not possible to hold any Championships at MTU Track during 2023, due to the delay in completing the resurfacing of the track

August 17th - Under 15 - Under 19 County T&F Championships

  • 100m
  • 200m
  • 400m Under 17, and above
  • 800m
  • 1500m Under 15 - Under16
  • 3000m Under 17, and above
  • Long Jump
  • High Jump

Athletes are restricted to a maximum of 3 events

The entry fee for Juvenile events is €2 per event, plus transaction charge

 

August 18th - Juvenile B Under 9 - Under 14 Championships

  • Sprint
  • Middle Distance
  • Long Jump
  • Turbo Javelin Under 9 - Under 12
  • Shot put Under 13 - Under14

Athletes are restricted to a maximum of 2 events


Any Under 9 - Under 14 athlete who has won any INDIVIDUAL medal at this year's County Track and Field Championships (held in Castleisland, Banteer and, in other locations), in any event, is NOT permitted to enter the 'B' championships

There is no requirement to have been entered in the 'A' championships to be eligible to enter the B Championships

The entry fee for Juvenile events is €2 per event, plus transaction charge

 

September 1st - Junior, Senior, Masters, Championships

Programme of events has yet to be finalised

There is a limit of 3 events per athlete

Athletes from Under 17 to Under 20 eligible for junior championship 

Unfortunately Guests cannot be accomodated this year

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
