Niamh McCarthy, Eagle AC, has taken ParaAthletic Silver at this mornings session. Throwing in the F41 category, Niamh threw 26.17m on her fifth throw, to confirm her Silver medal. She had thrown 25.87m with her first throw, to take the lead, however Raoua Tlili, Tunisia, blew away the field with her second throw of 32.29, a Championship Record. While some came close, none of the other finalists excceded Niamh's first round throw, and she consolidated her position with her fifth round throw of 26.17m.

The Gold Medal winner, Raoua Tlili, Tunisia, dominates F41 discus throwing, having now won a third World Championship. She is also a four-time Paralympic champion.
