As expected Mi Na (China) showed her class this evening, with a tremendous 34.36m Round 1 throw. With her second throw, Mi Na, who was competing in the F37 category, set a new Championship Record, and also won the event, with a throw of 35.08m.

Noelle's first throw of 30.94m put her in clear second and this mark was only passed by Li Yingli (China) who threw 30.97m with her final throw. However Noelle's final round of 32.12m earned her the ParaAthletic World Championship Silver Medal and also set a new Championship Record for the F38 category.

All three Cork Girls, Niamh McCarthy, Orla Barry and Noelle Lenihan, have won Silver Medals at this World Championship series.
